Faith Feeds L.A.-An Interfaith Response to Hunger

Click Here to donate to the LA foodbank through Faith Feeds LA.

Because of the serious economic conditions at the present time, many people are finding themselves in very desperate situations. Over one million people in Los Angeles County are hungry—that is one person out of every eight people in our county. Daily more and more families are losing their jobs and homes. The 875 agencies in the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank have seen record increases in new, first-time clients looking for emergency food assistance to feed their families. Donations have dramatically decreased as fewer people and organizations are able to contribute.

We invite everyone to join the IRC community in supporting the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank on three consecutive weekends from May 15th to May 31st. This can be done in several ways.

If you’d like to organize a food drive at your place of worship, you will find downloadable information and flyiers at the following link.

Since the Food Bank can use cash donations to buy fresh foods and bulk items, you can also help out tremendously by making a credit card donation at the Faith Feeds L.A page on the L.A. Regional Food Bank’s website. Just follow this link!
